How these predictions are made
Each team gets an attacking and a defensive strength from its recent results, weighted toward the latest games, and adjusted for home advantage. Those strengths give an expected number of goals for each side, and a Dixon-Coles goals model turns that into the chance of every scoreline. The BTTS figure is the share of that probability where both teams score at least one goal.
Questions
What does BTTS mean?
BTTS stands for both teams to score. "Yes" wins if each team scores at least once; "No" wins if either team fails to score, including a 0-0 draw.
How are these BTTS predictions made?
From a goals model fitted to each team's recent attack and defence, which gives the probability of every scoreline. The BTTS yes figure adds up the scorelines where both sides score.
Which BTTS picks are the strongest?
The ones with the highest probability, listed first under "Strongest picks". A 65% call is still wrong about one time in three, so treat it as an estimate, not a certainty.
